Nearly two hundred congregations have now left the Church of the Brethren. These congregations have either gone independent or joined the Covenant Brethren Church, an entirely new denomination, or affiliated with yet another organization. During this transitional period, some Districts are still including these departed churches in their congregational lists, resulting in duplicate affiliation. Disparities such as this may also be reflected in the following listing as well as numbering totals because COB-NET may not know the true status of each departed congregation.
