Brethren History and Church Polity
1. Indicate what classes you have taken and what books, articles, pamphlets, etc.
you have read on Brethren history and church polity.
2. Provide a brief chronological overview of Brethren history from 1708 until the
present. Be sure to mention major names, dates, and events and explain their
significance within the flow of Brethren history.
3. Beginning with the local congregation, briefly describe the structure and function
of the local church, its relationship and responsibilities to a district, its relationship
and responsibilities to Annual Conference, and its relationship and
responsibilities to the Body of Christ around the world.
