DISTRICT LIBRARY
The Southern Pennsylvania District Resource Library to available to help and encourage individuals and congregations in the community of faith to promote the teaching of Christ as interpreted by the Church of the Brethren. For those who are unfamiliar with our library, it is located at the District Office and materials are cataloged and signed-out using the same system that you would find in a public library.
Congregational members have access to the library during office hours. (Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) (Calling ahead is suggested.)
Almost all books can be checked out except resource material books. Some examples of material stocked in the library includes: Christian reading material, Historical Church of the Brethren material, Old District Conference Booklets, Old C.O.B. Directories, Hymn books, and 16 different resource boxes on the following subjects: (Advent, Contemporary, Curriculum, Deacon, Evangelism, Heritage, Lent, Membership, New Church Development, Peace, Prayer, Racism, Risk Management, Stewardship, Teacher Training and Youth Ministry). The library also has a supply of videos that are cataloged by subject for easier reference.

Curricula Database:
Congregations in the Southern PA District of the Church of the Brethren are invited to participate in sharing curricula resources owned by other congregations in the District. Each congregation will retain ownership, storage and management of its curriculum resources and the loaning thereof. Some titles may be available for preview or reading only at the District Resource Library.

Resource Boxes:
Large plastic boxes filled with books, pamphlets, brochures, charts, videos, CD's, and other various Christian educational material are offered by the District to congregations for augmenting their own educational program. Each resource box is maintained by one of the District Commissions and labeled according to the subject material.
