Everything you ever wanted to know about NYC...
...but were afraid to ask!

It is the youth's responsibility to make arrangements for an adult advisor if one is not coming from their congregation. Please send one advisor for every seven youth, in proportion to the gender of the youth.
When? July 28 - August 2, 1998. Participants and advisors are expected to remain at NYC for the entire week; any sightseeing must be scheduled before arriving or after departing from CSU.
Where? Colorado State University, Ft. Collins, Colorado. CSU is located 2 hours north of Denver. All main sessions, workshops, and late evening activities will be held on campus; all participants will stay in residence halls.
How much? $315, which includes all programs, lodging and food while at NYC (does not include transportation and some recreation options). A deposit of $125 must be included with the registration, with the balance of the cost of registration due by May 1, 1998. A late fee of $50 will be assessed to payments postmarked after May 1. All fees are non-refundable after May 1.
Registrations will be accepted from January 1, 1998 until May 1, 1998. Everyone attending NYC must register by May 1. Those who register before March 1, 1998, will receive a free t-shirt as a bonus for registering early. All registrations must be postmarked by the deadline to be accepted.
The Covenant
At NYC each participant is also asked to agree to a covenant. A covenant symbolizes shared responsibility and commitment between two or more persons in an agreement. A tradition in the Church of the Brethren is the covenantal relationship to care about each other as sisters and brothers in Christ. All participants, youth, advisors, and staff, are asked to enter into a covenantal relationship with the entire NYC community. The spirit of this covenant is to foster consistent and responsible participation at NYC. Failure to comply with the covenant may result in your leaving the conference early at your own expense.
As a participant in NYC, I agree to:
