Welcome!
The Woodworth Church of the Brethren is a group of individuals who seek to follow God, whose will is made known through Jesus Christ. We will share the Good News of God's love by serving our community in word and deed.
Woodworth Mission Statement, Adopted September 26, 1993
We are located at 30 E. Western Reserve Road, south of Youngstown, Ohio, just east of Market Street (Ohio State Route 7).
Pastoral leadership is offered by Rev. Cindy Peel
The Woodworth congregation will be celebrating her 85th Anniversary in 2003. Though established in this century, Brethren roots in this area go back to the Mill Creek congregation formed by settlers who began to arrive in 1808. Woodworth cherishes the rich history of our Brethren forebearers, and maintains a memorial stone which is near the sight of the springhouse where Henry Kurtz first published the Gospel Visitor.
Members at Woodworth have always been involved in a variety of church and community service including: BVS, disaster service, district board and committee work, housing, peace & justice groups, and much more.
