KEITH NONEMAKER– West Shore Church of the Brethren – non-salary
                                     minister

List local congregational, District or National responsibilities, past or present
to which you have served or are currently serving.
Past: co-pastor, Rio Prieto (Florida/Puerto Rico district), co-pastor, Bella Vista
(Pacific Southwest district), missioner, Harrisburg First (Atlantic Northeast
district); present: permanent pulpit supply, West Shore (Southern Pennsylvania
                                     district).

Share your understanding of the relationship of the District structure with the local congregation.
I see the congregation as the most important unit in the church structure. The district aids the
congregation by providing resources, facilitating communication, and serving as a gateway to the
               general offices and Annual Conference.

Describe the gifts God has given you to continue the work of Jesus; particularly through the position
to which you have been nominated.
I believe that my gifts include: preaching (and more generally, public speaking); discernment (perceiving
which things are important and which are trivial); prophecy (in the sense of calling people back to
               obedience) giving; and mercy.

How do you foresee implementing the gifts above to the position which you are being nominated?
I believe that discernment can be a vital importance to keep the church from being a rudderless ship,
tossed about by every cultural fad and political opinion.

List the intercultural experiences you have been a part of during the past 5-8 years.
I have had no recent “formal” cross-cultural involvement. I am legally blind, and have interacted with
the vision-impaired community, which can be thought of as a unique subculture.
