
Facts About The Community
Apartments. The community consists of two independent living areas: the Tower Apartments and the Poinsettia Apartments. The Tower contains 94 apartments including studios, one and two-bedroom apartments in an eight story building. The Poinsettia Apartments consist of 24 apartments including one and two-bedrooms in a three story building.
Services and Amentities. The Palms offers a comprehensive package of convenient services and amenities. Access to these services and amenities is included in the monthly fee for Tower residents and available for a small additional charge to Poinsettia residents. All residents enjoy indoor / outdoor maintenance, regularly scheduled transportation, 24-hour security, planned activities, library, extensive arts and crafts area, guest accommodations, beauty/barber shop, convenience store, thrift shop. gift shop and a non-denominational chapel. Tower residents also receive two meals a day in the dining room, bi-weekly housekeeping and all utilities paid except telephone service.
Health Care Center. Residents receive priority access to the community's professionally staffed, on-site Health Care Center. This 120-bed facility offers quality nursing care in an atmosphere of warmth and caring. In addition, the community offers private and companion Assisted Living apartments. Residents receive licensed care with 24-hour supervision, assistance with medications and help with the tasks of daily life.
Management. The community is professionally managed by Live Care Services (LCS) of Des Moines, Iowa. LCS, the recognized leader in the industry, offers over 35 years of experience serving more than 70 communities nationwide. As a not-for-profit community, The Palms is served by a local Board of Directors. These dedicated community leaders work together to provide present and future residents with an active and secure retirement lifestyle.
Fees. There is no buy-in fee or endowment at The Palms. Monthly fees begin as low as $568.00 in the Poinsettia Apartments and $1,216.00 in the Tower Apartments.
Qualifications. Prospective residents must be 62 years of age or older, physically and cognitively capable of independent living and financially able to afford residency.
