How does a church know when to seek assistance from ACT?

Ask yourself these questions:

Leadership:

• Do we frequently change pastors?

• Do we balance lay and pastoral leadership well?

• Do we have difficulty recruiting ministry leaders?

Mission:

• Have our outreach giving and activities increased in the last 5 years?

• Do we have a defined and sense of God's mission for our church?

• Have our connections with the District and Denomination become closer recently?

Teamwork and Conflict:

• Do the different groups in our church work well together?

• Do we fear conflict or resolve conflict?

Spiritual Vitality:

• Is prayer for each other a part of our congregation's life?

• Is our worship well attended and energizing?

• Is our Sunday School attendance close to our worship attendance?

• Are we attracting and keeping new people?

Location and Facilities:

• Does our location and building advance or limit our mission?

• Are we a "Missional" congregation?

ACT is able to work with and coach your congregation's leaders and members in many areas including:

• Identifying alternatives for its future;

• Building a pro-active strategy for new direction;

• Strengthening its planning and evaluation process;

• Advancing the quality of the church's common life;

• Strengthening pastoral and lay leadership;

• Defining and unleasing its spiritual gifts and financial and physical resources;

• Designing the congregational structure to fulfill its vision, mission, core values, and key objectives;

• Managing the transitions of change;

• Embedding the new direction with the church.
