  • Worship Service:

Welcome to the Eastwood Church of the Brethren. Our worship service commences at 9:30 a.m. and concludes approximately at 10:40 a.m. followed by our Sunday school hour at 11:00. The purpose of both services is to lead people to encounter the living Christ, experience His loving care, and to expound upon His call to become His servants.

Stained Glass Window in the Sanctuary So that everyone may sense the presence, the peace, and promise of the Holy Spirit our services are prayerfully designed to meet all age groups: from the more matured (elderly) to the middle-aged; from career-oriented couples to college age students; and from teenagers to toddlers. During a Sunday morning service, a person entering the sanctuary for worship would expect to find a time of praise where both the time-honored hymns and contemporary style are revered and respected; a time of prayer where people’s petitions are lifted up to a gracious and loving God; a time of pecuniary giving (offering) where we give God a portion of the provisions He has given us; a time of preparation where the children of the church are taught lessons learned from the Bible; and a time of proclaiming where the Word of God is preached and the principles set forth in Scripture are practiced.

Periodically, we hold special services to celebrate communion, baptize new converts, or wrap-up a special event such as Vacation Bible School, or KIDDS Club.

Like morning worship, our Sunday school curriculum centers on God’s Word. Our teachers are committed in preparing the lessons learned and encourage participation within their classes. It is in the comforts and confines of the classroom setting that congregates feel free to share any hardships and heartaches they may be facing at that time and the love of God is experienced.

It is my earnest hope that you come visit us to share in the good news, the great news, and the gospel news of Christ. And not only that, but that you too may encounter Him, experience Him, and expound upon Him.
