Paul C. Markland is our pastor here at Eastwood. Paul and his family were called and confirmed to come to Eastwood in May 2003. Paul and his wife Judy were married on March 21, 1987 and are blessed with two daughters-Ashley and Samantha.
Prior to coming to us, Paul acquired his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Akron, and his Master's Degree in Christian Ministries from Malone College in Canton. He pastored the Bible Church of Canton for four years before assuming the director's position at Christians Helping Christians Ministry for the next five years.
Paul employs both his life and educational experiences in very practical and plausible ways-whether it is from preaching from the pulpit or partaking in the fellowship with people. At home, Paul is a companion, a cheerleader, and a caregiver-at church he is a shepherd, a servant, and a soldier. He savors the time he spends with family and friends and strives to show the love of Christ with and to others. Love, life, and laughter are three of the distinctive traits he brings to the church.

Maintaining the Church office, our secretary:
Dorothy L. Jenkins
AKA - Dottie
Our church secretary is Dottie Jenkins. She is a 1973 graduate of East High School and she has worked different places over the years, including Goodyear Tire & Rubber as well as a time as a real estate agent. Her most gratifying time was when she had the privilege of being a stay-at-home mom to her two boys, Curtis & Kevin, who are now both married. Dottie has one grandson, Andrew, who is two years old. She has the good fortune to be able to baby sit Andrew a couple days a week when she is not at Eastwood – she loves being “mamaw”.
Dottie and her husband of 28 years, David, are actively involved members of Mogadore Baptist Church. They love the Lord and enjoy worshipping and serving there. Dottie is also grateful for the opportunity to get to know brothers and sisters in Christ at Eastwood. How precious is the family of God!
Her office hours are:
8:30 AM to 12:30 Monday and Friday.
Our custodian, Richard Tobias.
Richard spent his life doing a variety of things. He was one of the first sea-going cowboys to deliver cows overseas through the Heifer Project. Richard is married and the father of five children. He often takes part in church dramas, usually as "Jim-Bob".
He worked for years with the Juvenile Department of Justice in Akron, with troubled youth. Presently, he works as a bus driver for Hudson Schools.
He always goes the extra mile to make sure the building is useable, and we are glad to have him!
