Active from mid-June to mid-August, the resident program at Camp Swatara offers week-long camps to children and youth of all ages and interests. From beach parties, hikes, canoe trips, nature, arts and crafts, bible time, and fun small/large group activities – to water slides, a high ropes course, mountain biking, canoe trips and white water rafting – each day is an adventure at Camp Swatara; it is definitely the place to be this summer! This summer’s them is entitled "Be a Hero; Living Like Jesus." Each day, campers will experience different biblical passages that illustrate how ordinary people can make an extraordinary difference in the world by living like Jesus and being a hero for God. My name is Aaron Ross and I am the Program Coordinator for Camp Swatara, located in Bethel, PA. You’ll find Camp Swatara at the base of Blue Mountain and it is a wonderful place to connect with nature and grow closer to God. Although heavily used year-round for retreat groups and family outings, the resident camping program is viewed as the backbone of Camp Swatara’s ministry.
