the arts. Reporting to the Director of Graduate Admission,
the Assistant Director will:
Position Requirements
1) develop and implement direct marketing strategies for recruitment and yield,
including management of the email communication plan;
2) manage the graduate merit aid budget, award process, and placement of
graduate assistants;
3) manage all aspects of the graduate admission website including content
development and updates;
4) represent Emerson at graduate school fairs and other admission events,
monitor and control costs of recruitment travel, and produce follow-up reports
for effectiveness of travel; and
5) perform other duties as assigned.
The qualifications include:
Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred. Previous experience in higher
education required, experience in admission preferred. Knowledge of direct
marketing strategies, marketing on the Web, and experience with budgets and
databases required. Excellent writing, communication, interpersonal and project
management skills. The ability to learn quickly, be flexible, be a team player,
multi-task, and prioritize is essential for this position. Three to four weeks

Crownsville State Hospital in Maryland during the 1940's and 1950's might be
interested in recently posted pictures of the now closed State mental hospital.
The pictures include those of wall murals in one of the oldest buildings. The
