Following is a brief visual glimpse of the highlights of the many activities that you might experience at our auctions. There are many different exhibits and sale areas in numerous buildings and outside sheds. You will also find quite a several places to eat, including full cooked meals to bite size snacks. Click on each thumbnail or link to see a larger picture. Events, booths, and displays vary from year to year, so not all items pictured below may be on display each year.

Quilt Sale in the Main Auditorium - This recently constructed Main Building situated at the Lebanon City Fair Grounds is the focus of most sale activities including the sale of quilts, artwork, hand crafts, and other donated items. It offers a very comfortable and well lighted environment for auction goers.

Craft Tent - Outside the main arena stands this tent which houses area businesses and individual craftsmen who display their work for both the serious buyer and the casual passersby. You will find many carvings, paintings, needlework, buttons, puzzles, games, to mention only a few items.

Agriculture Sale & Produce Displays - Outside sheds and pole buildings offer room for live stock auctions, plus the display and sale of various fruits & vegetables from the garden. Some items such as these miniature pumpkins, Indian corn, and squash lighten up a dark corner.

200 pound, 42 inch Cherry Pie - This cherry pie is sold around 11:00 a.m. on Saturdays for about $2 a piece. This also includes a large scoop of ice cream. Other food items in this building were home-made caramel popcorn while you watch, apple dumplings, and numerous bundles of vegetables.

Collapsible Apple-Basket Project - Forrest & Vera Gordon began making collapsible Apple Baskets several years ago to donate 100% of all proceeds to the Auction. Since 1992 they have raised $35,220 for the Auction, and were the 1993 highest "Grow Money" contributors with $10,140.

Dolls: "Old Man & Woman" - A craft tent gave space for many artisans to sell their hand crafts, and one such exhibit was home made dolls. This "Old Couple" arrested the eyes of most passersby who commented that: "they just looked cute!". Other exhibits displayed woven goods, carvings, wreaths, plaques, and puzzles.

Petting Zoo: "Miniature Horse" - Little kids (and big kids) enjoyed the Petting Zoo where they could pick up and hug baby rabbits, ducklings, or gently stroke sheep, goats, and horses. This baby miniature horse was a real crowd pleaser with kid's and adults, especially photographers!

Train Ride around the fair-grounds - A garden tractor converted into a make-shift locomotive with several carts in tow offered Auction goers the pleasure of riding to and from the distant parking lot, especially the many bidders with packages in arms.

Covered Wagon Caboose - A willing mother gave permission for her daughter to be photographed in the last cart of the previously described train. This covered wagon also served as the caboose and indicates that children also enjoyed the ride.

Noah's Ark - Many "animals by 2's" were housed and fed in this trailer mounted boat which included its own ocean. Not visible in the photo are two Llamas standing on the back porch. (We digitally helped the ocean to spread around the ark!)

“Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor and to thy needy in thy land.”
