ABOUT US: The Family Life Center is a ministry to the Hispanic Community in Lancaster, Pennsylvania,
 sponsored jointly by the Atlantic Northeast District and the Alpha and Omega Church of the Brethren. This special ministry is part of the mission that Christ has called us to do. In response to the call, Alpha and Omega through the Family Life Center, is reaching out into the community to those who are caught in poverty in this country of plenty. The Center is reaching out to those suffering from crippling social diseases, dysfunctional families, welfare reliance, illiteracy, adjusting to a new culture, unemployment, drug and alcohol abuse. We praise God for the opportunity to be in mission for Christ. At the present time, we are struggling to keep this special ministry going. We would like to invite you to join us in this mission. |
MISSION STATEMENT: The Alpha & Omega Family Life Center's mission is to provide a channel  through which concerned individuals and groups can work together in the name of Christ and the Church to alleviate human suffering in the Greater Lancaster area of Pennsylvania.
OUR PURPOSE: To make human services available for people who are struggling to be contributing members of society, and to meet emergency needs of such people without regard to race, color, national origin, religion or sex. Because the Center is part of the Hispanic Ministries of the Church of the Brethren, the primary aim of the Center is to provide services to the Spanish speaking community of Lancaster County, and further, to have these services delivered by Christian staff who themselves are Hispanic by going to the people where they are: at their homes, on the street, and in the prison. The intent is not only to help them find a place in society to survive, but more importantly, to discover the abundant life through Christ. |
