General Board Polity Revisions of Annual Conference 2005

Proposed Geographical Location Changes

The Review and Evaluation Committee of Annual Conference 2001 assigned the responsibility of updating the denomination's Manual of Organization and Polity to the newly created Annual Conference Council. Much of that work involves updating existing documents to reflect current procedure or bring them into uniform wording and structure. One aspect of that process accepted by the 2005 Annual Conference was to change the rotation schedule of Annual Conference locations from the previous (1) Eastern-Southeastern, (2) Central, and (3) Western-Pacific, to (1) EAST, (2) MIDWEST (east of the Mississippi), (3) MIDWEST (west of the Mississippi), (4) SOUTHEAST, (5) MIDWEST (east of the Mississippi), and (6) FAR WEST (alternating between northwest and southwest every sixth year).

2. MIDWEST (east of the Mississippi)
3. MIDWEST (west of the Mississippi)

“They determined that Paul and Barnabas and certain other of them,
should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders (about this question).”
